  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas! Let us rejoice at the Incarnation of our Lord this Nativity!
as someone pointed out to me when I made this exact same mistake, the 'incarnation' was celebrated 9 months ago. Now we celebrate His birth ;)

Thanks, and Merry Christ+Mass to you too!

Just blame ICEL for mistranslating the Nicene Creed and getting the Apostles' Creed in there. :)

  1. Incarnation Christianity. The doctrine that the Son of God was conceived in the womb of Mary and that Jesus is true God and true man.

Quite right, and we need to remember this. Jesus (and everyone else) becomes human at conception, not birth.

Merry Christmas, all!

Parvulus enim natus est nobis, et fílius datus est nobis, et factus est principátus super humerum ejus : et vocábitur nomen ejus, Admirabilis, Consiliarius, Deus, Fortis, Pater futuri sæculi, Princeps pacis. --Isaias 9:6

Interesting

I wonder how many people here have studied Jesus Christ's pre-incarnated appearances in the Old Testament. Because while he become man, he was and has always been God before, during and after.

The first appearance being in Genesis, the Word through whom all things were made.

Here is another

JOS5:13
Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, "Are you for us or for our enemies?"

JOS 5:14 "Neither," he replied, "but as commander of the army of the LORD I have now come." Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, "What message does my Lord have for his servant?"

JOS 5:15
The commander of the LORD's army replied, "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy." And Joshua did so.
