Her brother Hir-Galad (formerly Barad-Naur) was more adventurous, and he liked the City of the Fire Elves better; and he dwelt in the palace. Meril is not of royal standing among the Dark Elves, but she is one of the King's courtiers and military advisors. She is valued for her priceless logic and strategizing in battles and is a fearless warrior and a bold leader. She is very competitive, and she can get angry on occasion; but Meril doesn't have the same flaring temper of her brother and needs a good reason to fly off the handle. On the whole, she is a fairly personable Elf and seems easy to get along with once you get to know her.
