Romans 9:18
Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.
If God has mercy and hardens hearts without condition, does God ever harden the heart of a righteous regenerated person? In other words, if God unconditionally hardens whomever He wants, whenever He wants, for whatever reason He wants, there must be biblical evidence that presents Him hardening righteous regenerated persons. Is there? Otherwise, it should be concluded that He only hardens certain people who meet the certain criteria of unbelief. There is biblical support for this.
Or, in His mercy, does He ever save without the condition of faith being met? If God has unconditional mercy (and, by this you mean elects and saves) upon whomever He wants, whenever He wants, for whatever reason He wants, there must be some biblical evidence that presents Him electing or saving (having mercy) without the condition of faith being met. Is there? Otherwise, it should be concluded that He only elects and saves (has mercy) upon certain people who meet the certain criteria of belief/faith. There is biblical support for this.
