Mental Images-the enemy

I have been having these experiences where i would see things that are not of God in my mind, last night i was laying in bed and it was just a mental picture of a snakes body wrigglying and wriling between sheets or papers i cudnt tell i just saw the scales and the movement. Then i began singin in my mind "Oh the blood that gives me strength from day to day it shall never loose it's power" i pleaded the blood of Jesus over my mind. Its be happening in the last few months when i am by myself in my room usually laying down, it sort of comes across as an imagination in terms of actuall appearance but i don't want to imagine ugly images. Sumtimes its like i see ugly faces or images i can't really describe but they are dark and ugly.

Ever experience anything like that?

I just had the flu from Sunday to last night and I experienced what you are describing here. What is interesting, and this may or may not play in to it, is that Sunday was the 7th year anniversary of the death of my father and yesterday was the 7th year anniversary of his funeral. I got sick on Sunday and got better yesterday evening.

My dad always represented evil to me and the Lord frequently uses him in my dreams to represent an evil person or even Satan. I forgave him completely before he died so I know there is not an issue there. I know this was a demonic attack, but I also knew that Satan could not attack me if God did not allow it. I just found the timing interesting.

I would close my eyes to go to sleep and I would see foreign gods like from China or the Middle East or something like statues or carvings on a wall and scary faces and images but none of it frightenend me because I knew its source and I knew I did not need to fear because "God is bigger than the boogy man" - Veggie Tales song I love to sing.

One day I was seeing images of Santa Claus who I know is an evil spirit and an anti-christ so I was rebuking those images, well all the images, and I was quoting scripture and telling Satan he could leave because I'm a child of the King and he has no dominion over me and I was singing songs of praise. I kept praying for the Lord to lift the cloud, but he assured me he would be with me even during those dark times, and he was and is.

I just know I'm saying things Satan doesn't like so that is why he is coming after me, but he's already toast and he knows it. And, God lifted me in due time. Praise Jesus.

I had a similar experience once when I was talking with a former church member. We were sitting face to face when I suddenly saw a bunch of black slithering vipers writhing about in mass. It caught me by surprise and caused some distrust with this particular member who was a large man who was always singing to the Lord and playing his guitar. I didn't know him all that well, and so he had a sort of mysterious side to him. He was very Christian on the outside, but in this world, you never know. Anyway, I found out later he was going through some serious marital problems, and his soon-to-be ex-wife and her family was really treating him badly (she wasn't a Christian). I determined that this man was really going through some torment and chaos, which was being fed by evil spirits.

With regard to your vision of a snake slithering among paper, perhaps the Lord is warning you about Satan attacking your finances or other aspect of your life involving documents.

Yes, I have experienced similar things. Just war against it, over and over. The thoughts might come back, but just keep fighting and you get stronger.

2 Cor 10:5.

Wow.

I have been sick since Wed. and have found praying hard.
But the interesting thing is when I tried to go to sleep one night I couldn't close my eyes without seeing what looked like creatures with bat type wings, dragons or something, I kept opening my eyes to fight it.
I eventually got to sleep but in the morning the same happened, so I let it play out and the vision? continued with like a battle between these and angels.
Then Jesus came down through the clouds as a dazzling bright light, that is all I remember.

Seems simular to yours, maybe not?

when my mind starts wandering at night, I listen to Bible on tapes on the radio, even sleeping with my walkmen sometimes. It really helps my mind stop entertaining thoughts I don't like. I highly recommend doing something like that.

You must fast and intercede in the Holy Spirit. You are given sight for a powerful reason. The main purpose the enemy comes to you like this is because these evil spirits don't want you to realize you have spiritual eyes "divine" godlike nature in the Holy Spirit to have in-depth to conquer them in the Holy Spirit. If you continue to cast down every vain imagination that exalts it's self against the knowledge of Christ. By prayer and fasting and casting down all vain imaginations your spiritual eyes "vision" will persist with greater dominion in our Lord. This is why the enemy is working hard to move every bit of God's word out of our Society and working harder to pollute the images we view in the movie theaters, television and so much more. That is why we must have our focus in the word of God to be able to cast them down in the Spirit. Ask the Lord for Holy Ghost Vision and walk up right with God and SEE IT FOR YOURSELF the VISION OF GOD'S LIGHT IN YOU. I'm praying for you.

rocklife, I do the same very thing, the enemy can't stand hearing the word of God. I have the bible on CD and I listen to them through the night. I sleep much better and I keep my mind sharp. Excellent recommendations rock. I do better myself by listening, hearing the word of God than reading it, however, I do both.

i know exactly what you are experiencing i faced with the same thing however it has since ceased but i stay in the Word and plead the Blood over my mind and eyes!

Thats interesting, every once in a while I still get sleep paralysis attacks. One incident that happened to me is I saw a shelf of a whole bunch of ceramic statues but the virgin marys face was right in the middle I was looking right at it. It seems every type of god, folklore, and even "saints" that are worshiped in religious places are all deceiving demons. Santa Claus thats heavy but so true. America has its gods too.

God leads me through my mental images. Like a baby sleeping in the moon, means when im down to rest instead of stressing out more. Maybe the snake in the paper is a warning about satan getting to you through doctrines? I can understand not wanting to see the images that are from demons, but their are mental pictures from God, and if you can learn to pay attention to them, God's leading is very valuable.

Sleep paralysis is when a demons sitting on you, and you should yell Jesus to wake up. I don't know why some yell Jesus and some don't, but i seen alot on the internets, real life, and me, who were never taught to yell Jesus but just did it like it was the thing to do for some reason.

Well its only happened to me after i got saved, which makes sense cause the devil knows you know he exists nowso he can go at you,before he didnt want to give himself away
and yes i cant talk so i have to think Jesus in my head, same experience with everyone i have talked too

Awesome its basically a proof of christianity to the atheist mind how everyone yells jesus in their head without being taught to do it by other people.
