NAME: Currently going by Melia Ketchin
AGE: 25
RACE: Reclan* (Basically human looking except for pointed ears, a long, thin tail, and the tendency to be a bit taller than your average human.)
GENDER: Female
OCCUPATION: Spy, smuggler, assassin, etc. She’s a sort of jack-of-all-trades in the criminal realm. She’ll work for the highest dollar without any alliances outside of herself.
APPEARANCE: At six feet with plenty of feminine curves and about a four-foot long tail, she’s stunning and knows it (and dresses accordingly to accentuate these features). She has long, full, wavy auburn hair and large expressive green eyes. While being very feminine, she has anything but a delicate air about her. She almost always seems to be in control of whatever situation she’s put in.
SKILLS: Excellent shot with a blaster, can fly reasonably well, acting, seduction, crocheting
PERSONALITY: Smooth as a frictionless plane that you’re always sliding things on in hypothetical physics problems, except for in circumstances dealing with cooking utensils (more on that later). She’s not afraid to use her feminine charms to get what she wants. She loves adventure and risky situations, which would explain why she does what she does. She also loves her independence, which explains her defiance of the law. She’s perhaps a bit on edge and a little less smooth and than she used to be, however, because she’s been cooped up in prison for the past year.
BACKGROUND: All was going well for Melia (who was going by a different name at the time) until a corrupt king (on a planet far from the thoughts of earth) hired her. He was suspicious of his staff and had her spy on them to check for a possible threat. (You have to wonder about someone who trusts a random criminal over his own employees, but he paid well and Melia didn’t ask questions.) Because of the nature of the assignment, it was necessary for her to disguise herself as part of the kitchen staff to best get her information, and in the process, ended up having to prepare part of the king’s dinner to keep up her disguise.
This perhaps wouldn’t be a problem for an average female, but Melia had never had very good experiences with cooking. As a small child, her mother had been overly protective of her precious kitchen. The few chances Melia did get to experiment in the kitchen turned out to be terrible disasters (like that one time with the explosive eggs), which only reinforced her mother’s attitude toward her kitchen and Melia not being in it.
That being considered, Melia already felt uncomfortable in the whole cooking scene, but a job is a job, and so she attempted to play the part. She didn’t exactly remember what she had done, but somehow she ended up putting some sort of obscure lethal combination of ingredients in the food. When the king promptly died from her horrible cooking, the public saw it as an obvious assassination, and Melia was promptly arrested and found guilty. (Her other crimes numerous crimes were unknown to the court, which makes it ironic that such a prolific criminal was arrested for something she didn’t really mean to do.) This in combination with her childhood experience with kitchens has given her a deep phobia for anything related to cooking. She’d probably have a panic attack if you pulled out a spatula, and curl up in the fetal position and cry if put in a kitchen.
Melia’s fate was somewhat in question, however. As said before, the king she killed happened to be very corrupt, thus, very unpopular. When the new king came into power, Melia became a political problem. Some said that she should be executed for her crime while others said that she should be released and given the highest honor for freeing their nation from their oppressive king. It took two long years of prison life for Melia before the new king was settled in and someone came up with a brilliant idea as of what to do with this troublesome girl….
RANDOM FACTS: She doesn’t typically get along with other females very well because they’re either jealous of her good looks and seductive charms, or they realize how silly she really is.
She secretly loves crocheting, which she took up while in prison to relieve stress and boredom.
She gets really mad if you mispronounce her last name (I think you understand what I mean
).
*My special race I made up all by me onesy. Don’t go changing or writing random histories behind these folks. They’re mine and appear in several of my stories (that haven’t been written yet cause I’m spending all my time writing silly RPGs. Oh well, I have writer’s block anyway.
).
