i cant figure out how to see the trailer..sigh
Click the link above. On that page, under the line that says "View the Trailer" (or something like that), are options for small, medium, large, fullscreen... Click on the option you want and it should start loading in your browser.

I just saw it. I'm not sure I have any more idea what the movie is about than before I watched it. Looks strange. Might be really good.

Oh Blast it!

For some reason my computer would not play it

The only thing I can say that the picture in the site seems to be of that of the pyramid of Chichen Itza in the Yucatan Peninsula...

(that and I thought that Mel Gibson wanted to do a movie on the Maccabbees next).

I have a feeling that it is going to be a warning to our society. I think he is going to use history, to show that once a society becomes corrupt and evil, that it will collapse.

I could be wrong, but I think that is going to be the message this movie is going to send.

Hopefully it will be good.

is it like a Catholic left behind?

I would love to see that!! I hated the Left Behind books even when I was a Protestant and unaware of it's theological errors. I just hated how poorly written it was. A very weak story... and of course the movies were even more poorly made!

Good call. I'll bet you are right. It's funny though to see the word apocalypso and now cities burning or techno stuff happening.

Ever read Father Elijah by Michael O'Brien. Fast paced and a bit predictable but definitely a competitive book for the Left Behind Series. I picked it up on a whim and enjoyed it. I don't read fiction often. I believe there is a full series by him but I haven't explored that yet.

I bet whatever it is it will stir up a LOT of controversy and once again we won't see it show up at all in the Oscars because it will insinuate that you need Jesus to be saved. (it says some weren't ready....I'm guessing that is what it means)

Good for him for not caring and to be doing this despite what will come of it.

You know I struggle with something similar albeit on a MUCH smaller scale each day. I pray the rosary in my car each morning and each evening going to and coming from work. Well my biggest thing is crossing myself with the crucifix from my rosary beads......in other words I don't want a co-worker seeing me do this in my car on my way home from work or one of the parents from school see me on my way to work. Why? Why am I so timid about this? I guess I'm afraid that I'll be shunned because people will think that I'm some religious freak or something, I don't know but still I wait until there are no cars around and then I do it real quick.

Why can't I be more like Mel and not give a rats patootie?

Sources say that Gibson's movie has to do with:
1) Cortez and his encounters with Middle America

or

2) The Mayan Civilization and the End of Time, 2012, Calendar thingy. This is actually an incredibly interesting topic and if this is indeed what Gibson is working with, it should prove to be quite interesting.
