  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My DH & I saw it the Monday after it opened... it was a tad predictable (I had most of it figured out about half-way through the movie) but still highly enjoyable. Since it's rated G, there were a TON of kids in the theatre, but they must have all be either very well behaved or totally into the movie, 'cuz all in all, the theatre was fairly quiet except for laughter at the funny parts (which there were a lot of LOL)

I was just posting about this in the "Last movie you saw" thread...

I saw "Meet the Robinsons" a couple of weeks ago, and really enjoyed it. Although the plot is fairly predictable, it's got a good message and some genuinely clever bits.

I'd say it's closest in tone to Disney's "Lilo and Stitch," if you've seen that one. Both movies go really over the top with wacky humor-- although Stitch is more inspired lunacy, while "Meet the Robinsons" just throws a lot of weird stuff at the wall to see if it sticks. Fortunately, a lot of it does...
