I like this show too, i dont kjnoiw what it is about crime investiogative type shows, ut i am hooked, even on this one in its unconventional form of investigating.
Its based on a real person.
I wonder whether her "gift" is of God ot satan tho'

I love this show. I think it's because it's real, and it's not like she was doing a seance to get this gift.
The true story to me is more interesting though. A woman starts having these graphic dreams, which seem too detailed to just be dreams. Starts journalling so as to 'clear' her mind. Husband, in an attempt to calm his wife, sends them off to the FBI, believing that they will write back and tell them both that it's just dreams and to relax. Instead, they come back and tell them that something like 90% of her dreams are actually unsolved murders/crimes.
Who's to say that God can't give us that gift? I know that God has used dreams in my life to warn me/encourage me/guide me.
It's not like she was pursuing evil means to receive it!

her daughter is amazing too-especially since she has the powers as well.
By the way, did anyone see that 5 second blip on their Tv's monday too? I have no clue what it was-but didn't know if it was just mine or everyone elses.

I was a little afriad that they would do this show in the scarey satanic way that people expect, even want this sort of thing to be portrayed in television. I was relieved to see that they portrayed this phenomenon closer to how it actually is.
It's a good show. Which probably means that it won't last longer than one season unfortunately.

I wouldn't call "Dead Zone" a "smash-hit"...it's on cable. And I wouldn't think of the television show as particularly good either. The acting is flat. The storylines have the potential to be really good...but they never quite get there. Stephen King is great at thinking outside the box, But, people waking from comas with hightened brain function is actually quite a common phenomenon.
And just as an aside, do you buy Anthony Michael Hall's television reprisal of Christopher Walken's starring roll as Johnny Smith? I can't seem to get the image of "Farmer Ted the Geek" from "Sixteen Candles" out of my head long enough to take him very seriously.
Dead Zone is one show I wanted to like because I liked the movie so much. But after spending the time to watch several episodes, I was just very disappointed. Maybe if the acting was better. Maybe if the storyline wasn't so jumpy. Maybe if they took the emotional aspect and let them run with it just enough to make it seem more realistic. But no...it sadly watches like a B movie from the 70's.
The music and the intro are good though. I'll give it that.

I love the theme song! Cool. Now it's in my head! But yeah, I see what you're saying. I do like Hall in this role...unlikely that it is. I was sold when he played Bill Gates in Pirates of Silicon Valley.Wisdom Seeker said:
