My favorite meat pies are beef empanadas.

What are in them?
Usually beef, spices, onions, sometimes cheese. Depending on whether they are Jamaican, Latin American, or Spanish Empanadas, the seasoning can vary.
While I will admit that I have never made them, I certainly have enjoyed them!
Sounds basically like what Mrs. G puts in the meat pies. Except, I have her add bbq sauce!
It's the spices that really make the pie distinctive. No sauce is needed with these pies.
