FDA clears lab-grown meat for human consumption

Chicken created using cultured animal cells was given the green light by the Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday, bringing lab-grown meat one step closer to consumers.

I am excited about this. I think it will greatly decrease the amount of fussing some people do about people who like to eat real meat. Sort of like the Covid vaccine. The people who wanted it got it and a few years later they aren't hassling the rest of us to get it.

I am excited about this. I think it will greatly decrease the amount of fussing some people do about people who like to eat real meat.

Thing about this is that this is "real meat" It is not some beyond meat burger made of uber engineered trash that resembles meat. It is merely lab grown.

If they can get it to taste like meat is supposed to - if they can manage to make it Kobe meat go for it - and this would be priced under the whatever prices traditional meat industry can set it would be a huge hit.

Most likely it will be a highly priced niche item for people with too much money to show how they really care.
