Hi, My name is Ian.
I'm a 57 yr old severely disabled man in Essex, UK.
Although I live alone and rely on carers (3.5 hours a day) I rarely get lonely as I'm never truly alone, God is with me every day and always ready to listen when I want to talk to him.
I should add that I'm completely bed bound 24/7 and have been for the last 5+ years.
I became a Christian way back in my teens but have been a back slider for many decades after becoming disillusioned with my local churches.
My return to the lord came about after deciding to arrange my own funeral ( I like to plan ahead) and in doing so I got in touch with an old friend who happened to have become a C of E vicar, she visited to talk about my plans and we got talking.
The end result was a resurgence of my faith which culminated in her baptising me at home, an event that meant a lot to both of us.
Another friend has helped me along the path with us talking and praying together when she visit's and many hours of talking on the phone.
Even though my physical health isn't so good I still class my self as blessed for the person I have become due to my disabilities and the few dearly loved friends I have around me.
Finally I should explain my name, it has nothing to do with magic, but was a name given to me by a friend who loved the way I played guitar back then and its stuck.
