  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

May as well

This is always a tough question, because there are many people that i would like to just chill out with. I suppose that i'll bypass the typical answer of "Jesus" since i'll have plenty of time for that when i get off this rock.

Hmm, lets see.

1. My grandfather. I'd love to sit with him while i'm at a more mature age and just talk with him about the things i never had the courage to bring up before. I want to tell him i love him again. I would even buy the dinner, much to his objections, since he was always trying to slip me cash even when i didn't need it.

2. Phil Keaggy. I have so much respect for this man. He's a phenomenal musician, i just can't get over how flawless his music is. I'd love to learn more about the man behind the guitar, talk about his walk with God and maybe get an after dinner lesson or two.

3. Einstein. Obviously he was brilliant and had a sense of humor. I never really understood his views of God, or religion for that matter. I remember enough from history that he was creative, trying to build machines to learn more about math and physics. I hated math and physics, but i used to try and build things like that when i was young. I could see dinner and casual converdation being interesting with him.

I've been known to try just about anything. The other night i went to dinner with some friends to celebrate a birthday, and i ordered escargot. A few people were kind of turned off by the thought of eating snails. lol My grandfather used to teach me how to stay alive in the wild, so i know how to eat certain plants and bugs, not that i would practice that a lot.

Other than that i can't think of much else that would be out of the norm.

favorite book?
favorite movie?
favorite song?
favorite tv show?
Book - The Testament: John Grisham
Movie - The Shawshank Redemption
Song - This is so hard for me, since i listen to so many types of music. At the MOMENT, it's an instrumental song by Phil Keaggy called "Spend My Life With You". You can hear a full version of it on rhapsody.com
TV - Again it's rather hard to say, i haven't had cable for about 4 years now. I've really enjoyed the season of "24" that my pastor let me borrow. We'll go with that.

Do you like dogs or cats?

Regards,
Drew

Thanks for asking Drew!

I like both actually. I have a cat, but i prefer dogs really. I just don't have the space or yard for a dog to live a good life right now. When my cat passes on, i want to get a dog.

If you were a superhero, would you be ok with wearing the tights that come with the costume?

:D

I suppose so. I mean, i wore speedo's for the swim team for so long, i can't imagine tights would be any more shocking to my super hero ego. :p

What are your favorite kind of books to read?
I suppose it depends. I've been studying a lot lately, so most all of my books have been bible study based. And while i like them enough, it's not always my favorite thing to read. I've been drawn to a lot of John Grisham's material. I like the drama/suspense kind of stuff.
