  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Ok... I made the mistake of being lazy when tivo flipped back to regular tv & the Maury Povich show was on.
This episode is just depressing!
These people sleep around on spouses & have one night stands & have 20 kids by different people & don't know who the fathers are...

(& we aren't talking about Dr's & attorneys or anything either) :|

I almost wish this country put a quota on how many children a woman could have if they're on welfare or something! How do you stop this?
You probly can't - but how many kids are born into horrible households while they keep sleeping around?

I'd imagine that could harm a country after a few decades of mass reproduction?
:sigh:

Oh, boy. Statements like that have gotten me labeled as a Nazi. :p

It's not just our country that has this problem, but it really is a troubling issue. My fiance proposes that a switch be installed in everyone at birth and until the time comes that you can provide adequate evidence of being a responsible parent, your switch wouldn't be activated so you could reproduce. That theory is loved by the liberals, let me tell ya. ^_^

Well as I sat here thinking about it, it's the educated who don't breed like rabbits on the first day of spring, ya know?

It seems like these people literally can't keep their knickers on - how sad for them AND their kids as they bring in one new lover after another - then hate each other about a week later with yelling & screaming about supporting the new baby they made.

Oh my gosh.
Then people want to support fornication becuz as long as the adults are "consenting", it isn't harming anyone.
PLEASE stop that lie already.

Watch 1 episode of Maury & Jerry Springer & you should be able to use common sense that forncation DOES alot of harm to alot of people and kids!

Oh, my. The flannel jammies would do it, for sure! ^_^
I tried to put flannel sheets on our registry and he put his husbandly foot down. Of course, that means I WILL be wearing thick athletic sox to bed. It gets a tad colder in England than it does in Tejas. :D

yes, if he was smart he'd allow them flannel sheets - it beats the Alaskan flannel fashions some have to resort to as us gals seem to have thinner skins.

shows like that focus on the underbelly of society to exploit them for the shock factor - it's a modern day freak show and definitely not the norm.
I'm not so sure it's not normal - I even see similar stuff on the police
& detective shows. I think it's becoming more of a problem than we might think.
I PRAY that's not true. But yes, they are exploited - but then, they have to sign up to be on the show. They don't seem to mind it. (wonder if they get paid?)

Sure they get paid...some of these folks are professional "freaks".

I don't watch them myself...but I've heard people say that if you watch them long enough...you see the same people going from show to show...

I used to leave the tv on for my dog while I was at work...then I came home for lunch one day...and she was watching Jerry Springer...that was it...no more tv for her...^_^...I think her lil psyche was damaged...:sorry:

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwe
I leave the tv sound on for my 'household' while I'm gone too. Just not the picture.

I hadn't heard about them being travelling freaks. lol
That's helpful to know  I often wonder why God allows them to concieve children while stable, loving couples can't have any.

One day God will give us all the answers =)

As for the freak shows, the worst about them is they tend to normalize such behavior. TV has done enormous damage in normalizing pre-marital sex, adultery, homosexuality and materialism to the point that few outside the church can separate themselves from the idea of reality TV and genuine, basic morality. It's just so sad and easy to see from this side of having bought into it. :sorry:

Well, get this, a lot of people who are guests on those shows are really actors.

When I worked in radio, I trained a person who used to be a producer for The Jerry Springer show. She told me that 70% of the guests on the show were actors.

Apparently that is somewhat common for a lot of these shows.
