  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My name's Mike and I'm a 95-year-old trapped in a 26-year-old body. I am a mature student.

Studying business management. Praying for the years to pass swiftly as it's more a means to an end than something I'm thrilled to be doing!

I'm a mature student. I've been perpetually enrolled in college since I graduated from high school in 2005. I finally completed the 60-unit requirements to transfer to a four-year and now I'm working on my major (Media Arts - class of '17!). Afterwards I'm hoping to get into a Divinity School back east for an M.Div.

I'm thirty-nine. I got my master's back in 2000. I'm now working on my BSN and have one more semester to go after this one. If I can graduate and pass the NCLEX, then I can officially start a different career.

This is so cool!

I have noted that while I did quite well in College in the 70's, I have an almost obsessive need to do well. So far, I am pleased.:)

I previously obtained a BA in Literature and MBA (in another country), and then returned to college a couple of years ago to take some classes that led to my BS in Psychology, and am now working on my MS in Counseling. I'm 53.

The teacher who had the most profound impact on my life returned to college in his late 50s and earned his Masters in his 60s. This time last year when I was preparing my arts supplement for my college application he is the one who helped me put my portfolio together. I believe it was instrumental in my acceptance. I won a major national scholarship in the arts, and he's the one who demanded that I apply for it when I was certain I'd never be a contender and was intimidated to even try. He inspired me with his stories about returning to college and embarking on a new path in life, and having the courage to take risks. I love him. Not in a creepy teenage crush on a teacher way, but in a loving another human being for being fabulous way. I commend everyone who wants to better themselves and puts in the effort to actually do it. I think it's wonderful to return to college (or to begin it) as mature student.
