Matthew Kelly.

I was wondering if anybody has ever heard of Matthew Kelly? He is going to be giving talks at my parish in a couple of weeks, and supposedly he is a popular Catholic author and speaker.

Has anybody heard of him? And if so, what did you think about him?

I read one of his books, Rediscovering Catholicism (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1929266081/102-8883150-6939337?v=glance), which I enjoyed.

I've heard of him. I've read his book "A Call to Joy", which he wrote when he was 23. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of his maturity and understanding of the Faith. I have yet to read "Rediscovering Catholicism."

well...that's a relief!...the only Mathew Kelly that i have ever heard of is an English entertainer who was recently investigated over a possible child abuse scandal.

Me too. As in 'Tonight Matthew, I'm going to be an extremely tall, bearded Jewish TV presenter....' He was cleared of the charges, wasn't he?

I'm going to look into this other Matthew Kelly now though

I believe he was cleared of the charges...but mud sticks doesn't it...
