Matthew and Luke's Differing Genealogies

A helpful way in my opinion is to look at them together.
see were each verse goes together, I'll post my own collection of the account, though surely this is just my opinion on the order of the geno.

Mt1:17
Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David,
Fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Christ.

When Joseph married Mary they became one flesh and thus Mary's genealogy became Joseph's as well as Christ being his son according to the flesh by marriage.

what I like to take away from the genealogies is what they were intended to prove.
Matthews = Jesus is the Messiah/King
Mark= Jesus was a Servant. Servants don't get genealogies.
Luke= Son of man
John= Son of God, He is God and has always been God.
