Matthew 7 has a lot of instructions how to live and one of the scariest warnings in Scriptures.

The Scriptures and teachings are meant for the church and believers, a manual how to live. I fear we do not teach enough on the warnings of Jesus, He has many.

The first warning in chapter 7 is to not judge. We have allowed this teaching to keep us from following

1 Corinthians 5:12 -13 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

We are to not judge those outside of God , we have rules for judging within the church. I once shared with a church something being done that was a blatant sin against God and was told it was none of my business , yes it is...First it is not anyone's church or business but God's and we have clear instructions.

Matthew 7: 6 “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

We have confused this as well, when we go to any thing outside of God and cast pearls before swine, we disobey verse 6. We do not follow not judging outside , we do not follow 1 Corinthians 5:13. We do not let God take care of it , we take control.

Jesus did not do this , He went to places that believed in God but not Him and preached and any that followed He taught. If Jesus went somewhere and the message was not received He left these instructions Luke 9:Luke 9: 5And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Do not confuse this with anything outside of how it Glorifies God and furthers the Kingdom. Our lives are for Him.

Matthew 7:13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

I just shared how hard it is to follow and it is …

Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

As we see all with the failed prophecies or Pastors having to step down for terrible things done in God's name . We did not pay attention to the warnings of Jesus in verse 15.

Scariest warning of Jesus and should make us all examine our lives everyday...

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Matthew 7:24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

The Apostles shows us much in their lives , they gave up wives , children and their livelihoods to follow. They knew the words of God before Jesus came. They spent 3 years as a student under Jesus , that is our example. It is a life time relationship and we miss that Jesus said this about us in Matthew 7:11 if ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

If we ever get to the mind set of Job that we are good and can reason with God , we lose the whole message of Job and Jesus...

We are a piece of clay being molded everyday...

Just a question here, But when and how do we distinguish when to stop ministering?
I ask this because I am the type that doesn't like to "let it go" and I will keep on helping and ministering even when some clearly do not seem to want it.
Though I have had a few come to the knowledge even years later, They suddenly realize their need for a Savoir and appreciate me staying with them through it.
So I am always perplexed as to how to determine this?

There is so much more scripture about judging in the New Testament, and some of the most helpful to add in with what you have above:

From Paul in Romans (ch 2):
1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. 2 Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. 3 So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? 4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?
5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. 6 God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”

Christ Our Lord in Luke (ch 6) --

37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Christ Our Lord in Matthew (ch7, additional parts)--

1“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye."

See?

Safest for all of us to rely on the ironclad words of Luke 6:37.

Don't condemn unless you aim to be condemned.

I guess when the Lord ask you to. To walk in a situation and stones start being thrown , walk away
