The Bible is amazing and just like everything was not reveled to the Apostles at one time or to the listeners at one time , we should learn every time we open it , it truly is living.
Chapter 3 makes certain things clear , that humans have been divided on for generations.
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, 9 and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
The coming of Jesus did many things and verse 7 explains , Colossians 3:11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all and Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Those in verse 7 could no longer stand on where and who they came from.
Verse 9 reminds us God that created Adam from dust , Genesis 2:7
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul ... Jesus from the Holy Spirit can do what ever He wants we are the ones that limit Him...
We are to follow Jesus's example , and He leaves no room for confusion how to be Baptized , read Matthew 3 and ask God to help you go to it as child and learn what He wants not what has been taught by humans...If Jesus did it , we long to follow His example...
