Yeshua said to him, “You shall love THE LORD JEHOVAH your God from all your heart and from all your soul and from all your power and from all your mind.”
What are the ways we show we love both God, and neighbor?
Jesus - the foremost lover of God and his neighbor, set the example, of a primary way, for us.
For this I was born and for this I have come into the world: to testify of the truth John 18:37
The Son of Man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister Matthew 20:28
“I must proclaim the Kingdom of God to other cities also; it is for this I am sent.” Luke 4:43
Jesus' love for God and neighbor was evident in his effort to preach and teach the truth to all his neighbors.
He trained his followers, and they too demonstrated love for God and neighbor, by their zealously carrying out Jesus' command.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you Matthew 28:19, 20
This is a good "yard stick" with which we can measure our love for God, and neighbor.
How zealous are we to teach the truth to our neighbor?
By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. John 15:8
