When Mat's single "Undeniable" came out last fall I loved the song from the start. It's just simply a great song! The thing is I don't care for rap too much, I do if it's good music like Undeniable though. So I'm driving to work the other day and listening to Wausau Wisconsin's Christian radio station and they say Mat Kearney is playing Friday night at the Rainbow Music fest in Wausau. I knew I had to check him out.

Well I just got back accouple hours ago and I must say I was highly impressed. He stepped out on stage by himself with his acoustic guitar and just sang these songs. Songs with lyrics that were, well, beautiful. The best way I can express it is saying he's a breath of fresh air, which is a lyric in one of his songs. Only a few of the songs he did would be considered rap but that's mostly a plus for me. God has blessed this man with a talent and I'm glad I got the chance to listen to him for if only an hour or so. One more thing, he's got a great sense of humor and is just a very likeable regular kind of guy. Great stage presence!

I will be ordering his Bullet cd and if anyone is in doubt about his talent all I can do is encourage you to see him live if you have the chance because you wont be disappointed.

Yeah, he opened for MuteMath when they held a concert at my church and I really liked him. A good portion of the audience payed no attention and started talking amongst themselves which was really anoyying. I like Train Wreck

Yes and in fact I heard some say that everything he does sounds alike. I wouldn't go that far, some of what he does is rap but some are just songs that he sings. If you go to his website www.matkearney.com they play a minute of each song that's on the cd. that would be the best way for you to judge.

Yes, Undeniable is an awesome song.

I joined his mailing list and have recieved about fifty emails telling me about a Memorial Stones download. If I had a DSL line, I would be interested. Dial-up just doesn't cut it.
Also, I believe you can/could download Train Wreck Remix off of his website.
