You are married so you are being hypocritical and doing just as your ancestors, the early Pharisees did - laying heavy burdens upon others that you, yourself, do nothing to lift.

I don't see it as sin because it isn't and there is no scriptural support for this Catholic dogma. Sorry.

Also, if this were truly a "sin", then I imagine 99% of males, and over 60% of females will be salt for the fires of hell then. I imagine you won't be there since you have your wife though. Must be nice to be you, huh?

I just truly believe that the more we fall in love with Jesus the more our heart's desires will change into His heart's desires. There's no one to blame and it's not for us as brothers and sisters to cast judgement. We are no one's savior only Jesus can lay claim to that!

Before I drew closer to Jesus and began learning more about Him and His grace and mercy, I used to do a lot of things that I didn't feel in my heart were hurting me or anyone else. But, as time passed and I understood Him more and more, (and of course I still have a long way to go) I began to feel much more sensitive to some of my behaviors. When I was younger for instance, I used to dress somewhat provocatively. In my heart then, I didn't consider or think about my actions hurting anyone else because that's just how I dressed. But, as I began learning more about how Jesus wanted me to behave the Holy Spirit began changing my heart. I realized I was causing men to stumble by my choice of attire. Therefore, the Lord showed me the proper behavior. To dress modestly, nice, not dirty or cheap. I am a daughter of the Most High King and He showed me that I didn't have to exploit or flaunt my body to be accepted by men and by doing that I would only attract those men whose hearts are lustful.

I just want to say I love the Lord Jesus Christ with all that I am and I just want to honor Him in every area and aspect of my life and I just think that if we all just keep moving forward with Him and in Him He will take care of the rest.

Praise You Jesus forever and ever and ever!!! Amen!

see you believe 99% of all males are bound by this practice, you are completely bound in this sin and your only solution is to somehow make it right in Gods eyes, you have no self control, you are led by your flesh, to do what ever it desires when it desires it. you need a wife!

I'm trying to figure out your position here. Is it that all masturbation is a sin, or that if one is married and only thinking of their spouse while doing so then it is no longer a sin?

I know from experience that just because one has a wife doesn't mean that your sexual needs will always be met.

I have plenty of self control. I, like most men, CHOOSE to do it as it is normal, natural and perfectly fine.

I won't be bound by some ignorant person's false dogmas and religious ideals.

I wouldn't feel right asking God to put a Godly woman with someone who has no spiritual discernment between right and wrong, you fail to understand the simple concept of touching yourself being a sexual act, instead you label it as common as urinating. although I've never met anyone who masterbated without lustful thoughts running through their mind, and for some reason this episode of lust is OK!.......very sad

The act of masturbation in itself is a physical act and isn't sin. The sin comes from what is in our hearts and mind at the time we do the act. If you can touch without lusting, then no it isn't sin. Most people can't though.

So if you are masturbating and thinking about the hot girl you saw that day and how you would like to have sex with her and you touch to that, then you are in sin. If you just do the physical act detached from any lustful thought, then it isn't sin.

Sin starts in the heart and mind and then manifests itself with an action. Whether that being something said or something done. I really hope that helps.

touching yourself is a selfish sexual act done alone........I would say everything normal in a sexual relationship is ok between a married couple. what is not normal, is things like sodomy and other strange sexual deviations as bondage and the like are outside the natural realm of love making. all touching and kissing and caressing are very normal

in my opinion thats contradictory, since the release you get from masturbating is directly
related to how "horny" you are. Sorry, but i can't accept the fact that some people can get off not thinking about nothing. sort of like rubbing one off while you watch paint dry. i just dont believe you can touch without having lustful thoughts or feelings.

I don't believe it is a sin and this is one reason why:

Suppose you could put together a bar graph of the "seven deadly sins" eg. lust (adultery, fornication, homosexuality), pride, envy, wrath, sloth, gluttony, greed representing the commission of these sins by people.

Some would have a predilection for pride or let's say wrath but generally it would have a bar graph spread out. Then put a bar in representing the occurrence of masturbation in people. I predict it would be highly disproportional to the other sins.

Why would this sin be so skewed? Because it's not a sin. I see it simply as an adult self-comfort, nothing more. Sexual ideation does not equal sin/lust. God made us sexual creatures and that does NOT begin at marriage. So unless you are feeding your desires for the purpose of actually going out to seduce/conquer another person sexually, what you do in your head is your business. I mean, really, how can you in the privacy of your room "look upon a woman" to lust if she isn't even in the room with you!

So is going to be the bathroom. Guess that's out too, huh? Same with eating. Eating is inherently selfish. You are consuming other living organic material in order to sustain your sinful flesh. That is the very height of sin right there. It is wantonly selfish.

If God didn't want us to do that, He would not have made humans able to do so. People can reach their genitals and experience pleasure from them on their own for a very good reason. It's not a result of any sinful fall. It was intentional.

Maybe you should start a discussion about the evils of oral sex (for married couples, no less)? I know lots of Christians who would support that.

Medical doctors also disagree with you on the matter.

Obviously the answer to your question is: A thing called pornography which is also a common additive to masturbation.

All these things add up to what the bible calls: Sexual Immorality and they are sin and evil in God's eyes and they are not a part of the original intent of creation nor of our sexual nature but a perversion thereof.
