i went to medjugorji -- back in the 1985-- and observed the same stuff as the other people--

now after 25 years -- and thousands of people --

do you have an opinion of this current apperation--

I think some of those messages are questionable. And aren't those 'seers' living high off the hog? What do they do to live like they do?

I was told that the Theotokos allegedly appeared to the visionaries on the mountain and instructed the masses who had gathered around to come to the rock where she was standing and touch the air above the rock so that they could "touch" her. When the pilgrims began to do this, after a number of them had approached, they were then told to stop because the evil of their sins was staining the Theotokos's mantle.

This might seem on the surface to be a call for their repentance, but it is a glorification of sin and evil. To say that evil has the power to stain the sinless Virgin is a boast of the devil. Almost as soon as I heard about it, it left a terrible taste in my mouth, and when I returned stateside, multiple priests agreed with me such a thing was not from the Mother of God.

I thought the local bishops had already said it was a fraud.

I'm skeptical of all the Marian aparitians, but Medjugorje is just bologna sent straight from hell to confuse and distract the faithful but silly.

I'm not in to Marian apparitions in general, but Medjugorje in particular seems false.

Yeah, I remember reading an article that highlighted some of the messages that were blatantly against Catholic teaching. And how one of the seers had a couple of huge mansions.

I have heard a lot of folks returning who were cured and any converting.

With Jesus dining with and touching sinners, and touching lepers, etc., I doubt the Blessed Mother would care that sinners could "stain" her mantle.

I do not believe in it either. I once belonged to a forum that was only to do with Medjugorje. It was an awful place and after doing a bit of rooting around regarding the apparitions etc. I felt weird inside about it all and started asking loads of questions, and one of the main ones was how they manage to live like they do. it seemed all wrong - and very suspect.

Our Blessed Mother Mary often appeared to Saint Sister Faustina too. On the Feast of The Annunciation in 1936, Mary said to Her:

"I gave the world a Saviour, you must make known His Mercy, and prepare the world for His Second Coming. He will then come, not as a Merciful Saviour, but as a Just Judge. Oh how terrible is that day! Determined is the day of justice. Angels tremble before it. Speak to souls of His great Mercy while there is still time. If you remain silent now, you will to account for a great number of souls on that final day. Fear nothing, Be faithful to the end".

As Jesus says:
"Distrust tears at My Heart The lack of confidence in chosen souls hurts Me most. Despite My inexhaustible Love, they do not trust Me".
