The news last night played a small portion of Dolly Partons new Christmas album. Its Dolly's elder voice but that made it even more special
It was only a few sentences of her "Mary, did you know" but it was the most beautiful and precious song I have heard since Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah.

Dolly was in her heyday already as a popular singer when I was a kid, and that wasn't recently! We are talking like 1969, 1970 and such, when I'd hear her on the radio, see her on TV. It's so wonderful she's still singing!

I loved this song the first time I heard it, and have really enjoyed it ever since. Some songs hold up well to repeated listening, and this is a really great one for that!

I was busy when I saw your post the first time, but perhaps should have responded sooner. Sorry.

By "fun" I mean enjoyable. It's more, but it's also enjoyable.

Also, I think this song has a good influence on people.

It will make some that haven't read carefully through the gospels want to read carefully and fully, to find the answer on whether Mary knew. (And the answer is very clear in the text)

Reading well and fully, they will find the clear answer to that question, and so much more.
