Marriage has to be one of the hardest and most fulfilling things in life. I've experienced my biggest joys and my biggest heartbreaks thru the last 28 years. There were a couple of times when I didn't think we'd make it.

But,

Tomorrow we celebrate 28 years of marriage. We have 4 beautiful sons who have brought us joy (and more than a little frustration!).

Thanks to God for all he has done to remind my husband and I just why we are together. If it weren't for prayer and love, we'd never make it. :pink:

To all of you who are married or thinking about it, remember that even in the hard times, God is there to help us thru.

Love, Lynn

To Lynn:

Aha, another 1974 marriage! That was a VERY good year! Hubster and I celebrate Number 28 next month.

I look back over time, and in some ways, it seems like yesterday. In other ways (MOST other ways, LOL), it seems like we've been married forever.

May God continue to smile on your marriage for many, many more years!

Peace be with you,
~VOW

Thank you...........and congratulations to you too.

We were married in Monterey, California at the San Carlos Cathedral. What a beautiful place. I just wish I'd been healthy at the time. I got mononeucleosis a week before the wedding. Talk about lousy luck! passed out during the mass and everything.

We had a great reception though. We were in Russian language school with the air force at the time and all of our russian instructors came. Once the vodka started flowing, it was quite a celebration. :D

I wish you all the best, Annabel Lee. I pray that you and your husband will be able to resolve your problems and have a long, happy marriage.
Mike and I were separated, too, for several months. He even moved to another state. It was awful and I hope and pray it never comes to that again.

As for the remote.........I thought that was always the woman's property!

love, lynn

p.s. don't forget the season finale of ER tonight..looks really good! (I love that show)

Congratulations to you and your husband, Lynn, and many more returns of the day.

We just had our 25th in February. Certainly God's grace and Providence had everthing to do with it, as I am sure is true of every long lasting and happy marriage.

God bless you and your wonderful family. Four sons. Totally awesome.

Congratulations Lynn!

My husband and I have been separated for a few months and have just decided to give it another try. He'll be moving back in a few days.

Does this mean I'll have to share the remote for the TV with him? ;) (I don't think so!)LOL

Peace and Love and Humor,
Annabel

You all are in my prayers.

Wow, Lynn & VOW! Congrats!

& Annabelle, I will lift you and your husband in my prayers.

Everybody remember, the THREE MOST IMPORTANT WORDS IN MARRIAGE:

LET'S EAT OUT.

...noooooo, THAT'S not it....

Let's go shopping?

OH YEAH! IT DOESN'T MATTER! When problems build to volcanoes, when troubles tower above and cast sinister shadows on life, you take two steps back, take a deep breath, and say IT DOESN'T MATTER! And so many mountains turn into mole-hills...

Two rules in life:
1. Don't sweat the small stuff.
2. Most things are small stuff...

;)

And now I can even make the wishes move. At least I managed to change the color that time.

Sorry, Lynn. :sorry: I need to go now and have my brain overhauled.

I wish I could figure out how to do all that fancy stuff in my posts!

To Souljah:

Three and a half years?

That's still DATING in my book, LOLOLOLOLOL!!

Seriously, the best part is KNOWING someone so well, and having someone else know YOU so well. My DH still can push my buttons, drive me up the WALL, and I know there are times when he's probably locked himself up somewhere, calling me every name in the book.

But those precious, precious moments when you can SEE and FEEL the other person, and know exactly how to comfort, or when something insignificant is important to only the two of you, or when there is something that is outrageously, hysterically, turn-yer-guts-inside-out-with-laughter, that you BOTH ENJOY, and you both can SCREAM WITH LAUGHTER and not care how stupid you look doing it, because you are doing it together.

That laughter, to me, is one of the very, very best things we have together. Because that laughter gets us through so much, and enables us to do more than just "survive."

Peace and laughter,
~VOW

Hey, Lynn! Yep, I got your name right this time. Just checking.

When you post there are all those "thingies" at the top. Like the "B" for bold, "I" for italic, "U" for underline (Hey, I just noticed that one myself. Duh! Anyway, there's size, font, color, glow, shadow, move, etc. If you click on what you want like

[move]move[/move]

Then click on the red "x" to close the tag, and that will put up the [ /move ] after what you typed. Uh...it will bring up [ move ] before what you type. I'm sooooo good at explaining these things, aren't I? :sigh:

Now I'll click on "UpDown" to see what that does.

[updown]Up Down[/updown]

I did try to do my wishes to you in a color, moving and bold. Dunno what I did to mess up the color the first time, or the moving the second time. Guess I'll just have to play with these things somewhere.
