Marriage Proposal Ideas?

Hello 'Forumers',

I am currently living in an Asian country and will be travelling to Vancouver and New York next April or May. The challenge is, I am planning to propose to my girlfriend.

If you know any nice place or ideas for marriage proposal, will any of you be able to help?

Ok, there are a lot of cliche places to propose, and a lot of cliche ways to propose. I wouldn't recommend doing any of them. Don't personally know you or your girlfriend/planned fiance. But seriously, when planning how you're gonna propose, take a long, hard, serious look at you two's relationship, and do something creative/sentimental that really reflects where you guys have come from and where you want to go. Trust me, if she finds out somehow that you got the idea of how to propose (like "propose at the top of the Empire State Building" or some place in Vancouver), she will feel hurt, cause you wouldn't have put any creativity into it, just gone off what a complete stranger (but brother/sister in Christ) said. I've noticed that women like it when you come up with stuff yourself. I'm planning on, when I am getting ready to propose, doing something I know will mean a lot to her, cause it came from my heart, not from the internet. That's my advice.
