Marlon Brando dies at 80

Brando received eight Oscar nominations during his lifetime - all for best actor apart from his most recent nod in 1990 for A Dry White Season, which was for best supporting actor.

His two Oscar wins were for On the Waterfront and The Godfather.

A screen legend the like of which we may never see again.

Brando's performance in 'Streetcar named desire' was simply breathtaking. His role in 'Apocalypse Now' was a Cinematic masterpiece.

Brando was born a legend, death hasn't changed that, in fact it has reinforced it.

I love the intensity of Streetcar, it would have been amazing to see him in the actually play.

Apocalpse Now is one of my all time favourite films. Anybody ese have any particular favourite Brando moments?

I've never seen Streetcar (shame on me), but On the Waterfront is one of my favorite films of all time and Brando is one of my favorite actors of all time. I need to pick up some of his films on DVD to add to my collection.
