No, I'm asking which conspiracies you think are real. I assume you don't hold with any bible conspiracy theories yet you seem to think there is an Illuminati-type world order messing with global economy and scientific studies. Are you saying that there is no such thing as a conspiracy?

THe problem with this sort of thing is that so many quacks get involved - all claiming they have the "one true interpretationn".
None of them so far has proven to be correct. That makes us all sceptical of any new claims.
So my challenge to you is - prove it!

But he thinks he's clever quoting Voltaire.
Je vois venir de loin ces temps, ces jours sereins,
Où la philosophie, éclairant les humains,
Doit les conduire en paix aux pieds du commun maître;
Le fanatisme affreux tremblera d'y paraître:
On aura moins de dogme avec plus de vertu.
Voltaire was writing a satire. Maybe you missed that? He was also a non-believer but he recognised the value of Christianity in keeping certain sections of society in order. If that's the meaning of Christianity then maybe Voltaire is a good source - but I'm surprised you think so.Wow BB you are now learning the meaning of Christianity via Voltare. Praise God.
Well, that has actually happened (and been in place since federation). You watch what happens and if at some stage the government tells you to accept a mark, or you wont be able to trade. Well? Do as thou wilt.
This was a warning.

Don't you think you should acknowledge the source of your apparent wisdom (http://www.whitman.edu/VSA/trois.imposteurs.html)? Next time at least try to pretend you understand what you are talking about.I think Voltaire may well have been anti catholic as opposed to atheist, but I will leave that for you to decide for yourself
Si Dieu n'existait pas, il faudrait l'inventer
If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him
This statement by Voltaire was so famous that Flaubert included it in his Dictionnaire des idées reçues, and it is still frequently quoted today. But where does it first appear? And what precisely did Voltaire mean when he wrote it? Does it imply, as most of Voltaire's parrots seems to suppose, that God is a fictitious being, created for the comfort of the human race?
In its original form, the statement first appeared in a verse epistle from 1768, addressed to the anonymous author of a controversial work, The Three Impostors. According to Voltaire, this was a virulently atheistic text that denied the existence of a divine being. He found that this was an extremely dangerous work since it put into question a notion that was very useful for society: the idea that criminals would be punished in the afterlife. Thus, even when policing was insufficient, there was a strong deterrent against crime.
In this poem, Voltaire develops in a general way the idea that the existence of God (or the belief therein) helps establish social order. He then goes on to boast of his own role in eliminating prejudice and injustice in the eighteenth century. In its final sections, the poem turns to personal satire, as Voltaire attacks some of his favorite enemies.
As such, the text shows many of Voltaire's complexities, both in his philosophy and in his personality. Although he attacked the abuses of the Catholic Church throughout his life, he also spoke as a defender of religion
Voltaire, Epître sur Les Trois Imposteurs
My proposition is at least as likley as all the hair brained ideas put about in all the forums I've been on.16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,
17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.
Now tell me Argy with all your wisdom, does that sound like the Australian tax file number? Seriously?
Say yes and justify your madness

I didn't say Voltaire was atheist, I said he didn't believe in your God. Perhaps if you actually read, digested and understood what's written on that website you would have worked that out for yourself. You are a truly deceptive person, BtW. Shame on you once again.

Hmmm Pagerising??
I am content to link a website, if its to difficult from there for you poor fellas to work out where the text comes from, I shall to allow that reflect on your ability.
This is a recreational forum, I dont have to play by your rules.
Your arrogance and pretentiousness is better served somewhere else.
You are welcome to play the Uni educated theologian, though it reeks of inferiority to me. Just a try hard trying too hard to be noticed.
As Argy said, attribution of such a large piece of text is a matter of honesty. If it were a couple of words that wouldn't be a problem. You could even try re-writing it in your own words. Of course you are right that you don't have to play by our rules here but you should play by the forum's rules. And those include this one:Hmmm Pagerising??
