Mark Lowry Video

I was doing a little messing around on Youtube yesterday watching Mark Lowry (a Christian singer/comedian) videos and this one, in particular, caught my eye. I listened to it, and thought it would be nice to share it here as I feel (in my opinion) it is very much in line with a bridge builder's feelings about Christian love and acceptance. It is actually very funny, but actually gets serious toward the end with a very important message.

Important note before watching this video: For those of you who feel you have fundamentalist leanings, please don't let the title offend you, or let it draw you away from giving this video a fair chance. After all, I consider myself a fundamentalist and fully believe in an uncompromising faith and having standards based on the Bible. What Mark is referring to when he says "fundamentalist" are the legalistic types who believe one is not truly saved unless he/she follows their rigid rules 100% (and we all know that isn't what fundamentalism really is). I personally did not take this video to be mean-spirited in any way, shape, or form, so I truly hope others won't, either. I sincerely don't wish to cause any problems.

I found this video a couple years ago. I just loved it. Then again, I grew up in a home where were fundamentalist in many respects...

Thanks. Mark Lowry is a great observational comedian from a Christian perspective... and always ends on a serious note.

You're welcome. To tell the truth, I was actually a little leery of posting it, at first, knowing how sensitive some people can be. When I saw it, I detected the heart of what it means to be a bridge builder, and felt it would be suitable to post in this part of the forums.

You know I think this ought to be our training video for bridge builders in training. Lol I even shared this video of facebook because most of my friends and family aren't born again Christians and they can often have a negative view of Christians as a whole.
