I suspect that a Cuban run hurt Trump more than Biden, but an Independent run usually splits something like 60-40 between the candidates, as it draws from both parties. Ross Perot seemed to do better in Republican areas than Democratic ones , though I do not know if Perot cost the Republicans any states. I specifically remember reading a book about the 1968 Election. Many Dems blamed Wallace for Humphrey's close loss. However, polls showed that if Wallace was not on the ballot, 60% of his voters in the North would have voted for Nixon and an even higher 70% of the Wallace voters in the South would have supported Nixon.

As to your question, does Cuban have a chance to win? I can only see a path for him at the moment, if Trump loses much ground because of the virus outbreak and the economy and Biden begins to lose support, either by moving too much to the left or showing signs of aging. Cuban might have had a better chance if Bernie were to be the nominee, but even that is not certain.

Is Cuba thinking about throwing his hat into the ring?
Also his thoughts on reopening the economy.

Would a Cuban run help Biden or Trump?
Does he have a chance to win?

I'd say he's run out of time to absorb enough Trump supporters. And he is definitely not Trump supporter material.

if the stock market is up in november, trump may win, If it's down he'll lose-and he'll borrow any amount of money to prop it up by then. It's already up 25% in a month, despite massive unemployment, businesses failing etc, a debt that forces interest rates kept near zero to avoid default etc
