It's March! For some that means basketball tournaments and the beginning of spring skiing. For others, it's leprechauns and pots of gold. Let's focus on the latter for just a moment. What is precious to you? What are the things in life you seek? What are the things others seek?
Theme
The theme for this month's challenge is Valued. Be creative in what that means. Find things or expressions that show value to you or to others and capture it.
Judging
This challenge will be judged by an independent outside firm... er, I mean CF Staff (minus those of us who choose to participate in the challenge). Minimal instruction will be given, other than to keep in mind the theme and to look especially at the use of color. That's right! Amateur judges for an amateur challenge.
Prizes
1st place: 5,000 blessings
2nd place: 2,500 blessings
3rd place: 1,000 blessings
Everyone is allowed two entries to the competition (please note, only one prize per person). You can submit both entries at once or spread them out, but please submit them as two separate posts. We use the post #s for judging Once an entry is submitted, no taking it back.
To submit, attach your photo in a reply to this thread. The only replies to this thread should be photo challenge submissions. Questions about how to attach/submit photos, as well as general chat about the submitted photos, should go in the March Photo Challenge Discussion thread.
Post-production editing, including cropping, color fixing, and retouching is allowed. But please, we know the difference between editing a photo and "photoshopping" something in that we didn't take. Let's remember this is a photography challenge, not an image manipulation challenge.
Deadline
Entries must be submitted by end of day, March 24, in order to have time for judging and awards by the end of the month. We won't actually lock the thread until well into the 25th, so we don't have to worry so much about timezones. As long as you've submitted by the end of the 24th in your time zone, you'll be alright.
