for the last several years, every time a guy my age asked me out, he always had a friend beside him or nearby.
is that odd? what does that mean?

I think I'd be more nervous if I were with a bunch of guys, especially close friends. I'd much rather ask her in private.vibrant said:for the last several years, every time a guy my age asked me out, he always had a friend beside him or nearby.

It's the same reason women on the lookout for guys travel in packs. No one trusts the "lone wolf". It's interesting that of all the times I was ever approached by a woman it was when I was with a friend or two. When I have been by myself, (most of the time) none will ever approach me. Also if a lone guy approaches a group of girls the wagons will immediately begin to circle. If a couple guys do the same the women are more relaxed. When you are with someone that someone sort of, simply by their presence, vouches for your trustablility.vibrant said:for the last several years, every time a guy my age asked me out, he always had a friend beside him or nearby.
