Im going through difficult decisions in this point of my life
im trying to ask God To show me his will and what he wants me to do
but i dont seem to hear a response, or if i do i don't know if it is his wishes or those of my own heart and mind im having difficulty?

God would never lead me into something that was bad for me (not in his will) if i asked for him to show me his will , for me to follow it, and for his protection right??

Life is an interactive storybook. It presents us with a series of scenarios which we must make significant choices. And if you don’t make the choices that bring change, you stay on the same page of the book. Some of us keep staying on the same page of the book. So the story doesn’t move on.

Now William and Catherine Booth, founders of the Salvation Army, made this phenomenal statement, ‘It is impossible, to change the future, without disturbing the present.’

So the reason most of us don’t see our future changed is because we don’t want to see our present disturbed. But if you understand the purposes of God, He did not come to take crises out of our lives, He came to put crises into our lives.

Because there is a process that comes with crises. Crises causes reaction. Reaction leads to decision. And decision produces choice. And choices change the course of your life.

Now most of us have never made a significant choice in our lives in a time we were not in crises. Think about it.

But if we get rid of the crisis, we never make choices, so nothing changes. You see the course of your life is not determined by the circumstances you face, but by the choices you make. But we spend most of our lives trying to understand and come to terms with the circumstances, instead of learning to make choices.

But choices change things. I believe God is challenging you to make a decision, the choice, that will turn the page of your book. But unless our mind is renewed as the will of God unfolds in our lives, we never turn over the page of the book.

So you're on the right track. Step out in faith in all you do. And remember, ‘that nothing shall by any means hurt you.’ Luke 10:19

I hope this helps.

Peace and blessings.

What is it you want to do in life? The Lord wants you to choose and make a plan, and then He will go before you and protect you....if you are obeying what you know is right. He has given you the choice of life or death - blessing or cursing - choose life and then trust God to take care of all the details. Read your Bible, go to Church, serve God and others in your life, doing what He says to do in scripture, and great blessing will follow your life, just as His Word says it will.

Proverbs 16:9 A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Usually God does not speak in that way. Sometimes God wants you to make decisions based on your own wisdom using first the guidelines in his word. Then advice from trusted advisors...including parents :)

Make some other decisions first.

Will you have to get a loan to go to college? Not necessarily a good idea in my opinion, but does work out for some who will easily qualify for a well paying job (doctor etc).

Will the college take you to a place away from loved ones? Weigh the pros and cons carefully.

Do you already know what you will study?

These are just a few things to consider...there are many more. Write them down, pray that God will give you wisdom to find good answers. God gives us a brain for a reason...

Get up in the middle of the night, say from 03:30 - 04:00.

Kneel down,
Make your mind empty,
Pray for guidance,
Let your mind be empty again,
Wait...

Sounds maybe simple, but it´s my experience in very hard times of my life.
You have to spend some time and be prepared to do this for a while.
