In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't know of a place that you can specify which versions you want. I would suggest looking around though. There are many variations on the parallel Bible. Here is one with the NIV, NLT, NASB, and KJV: KJV, NASB, NIV, & NLT Today's Parallel Bible Hardcover: 9780310918363: Christianbook.com

I think the problem you will run into with the particular choices you have is that the ESV is in so few parallel Bibles. The only multiple parallel Bible that I saw that had it was here Amazon.com: Essential Evangelical Parallel Bible (9780195281804): John R., III Kohlenberger: Books

That Bible has the NKJV, ESV, NLT, and the Message. I'm not a fan of the Message paraphrase, but I do really like the NLT because it is a true translation. I would go with the first one I mentioned if I were you. It gives you two solid word-for-word translations (KJV and NASB) and then gives the two most popular thought-for-thought translations (NIV and NLT). I don't think you would necessarily get any more insight with an ESV thrown in to that mix.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if that product is made available within the next few years. All four are translations that are quite popular with evangelicals, and it would be a prime marketing opportunity if the copyright owners of each translation would allow such a product. Personally, I am not a big fan of parallel Bibles and I can't stand the NLT, but I do think that there is benefit to combining those 4 translations.

Glad I saw this post, I was just about to suggest eSword. I have the KJV, NIV and NASB on my parallel, along with the JPS Old Testament...it comes in quite handy. Especially with all of the commentaries that are offered as well...it's become a major tool of my Bible study.

I loved my JPS Tanakh, but it became flimsy and my dog eventually destroyed it. I still have a Margolin-edition Torah that is very nice, but not as practical for everyday use as the JPS Tanakh.

I apologize for bringing back a three year old thread, but I have nearly the exact same question. I have looked high and low for a parallel study bible with KJV, ESV and NASB. There just don't seem to be any. These are the only three that I am interested in, and I would really like them in one book.

To the OP, what did you end up doing??

If you'd be okay with using a tablet or smartphone, Tecarta has an app that allows you to download several different translations, including I believe, all of the above.
