i think it can be very dangerous to think like you do no brother. Please don't get me wrong, i tried for years to attain the things you talk about here, but sin living in me simply didn't go away, no matter how much good i did at other times.
This made me realise that for mostly serving God is loving true, and loving true, we can only do in His Spirit and when we have found rebirth in our by sin divided spirit.
i found that going to Jesus in my fallen selves, rather than serving Him in my religious selves, finally taught me to love Jesus and learn how to get rid of sin living within me.
The first thing i did was stop trying!
Trying to be a good Christian had only brought me frustration, sadness, unanswered prayers, hours in Church, yet only to see more sin, alienation, judgemental attitude, arrogance and pride but not a God loving humble heart.
So rather than trying to right when wrong lives in me, i learned to go to Jesus in my wrong self and let Jesus change my spirit through His graceful love.
Amazing what happened when i learned to do that, eating God's grace, His love entering me - time and again - and destroyed my willingness to sin inside of me, and making me love Him instead. Time and again i have seen Jesus do this in my heart.
All those who i had condemned in myself with my religious self, Jesus gave new life in Him and from Him, and so in my sinful selves i escaped the flames of hell, and have been united with myself in my God loving selves, and so learned to love God and neighbour united within, instead of divided by sin. While in my religious selves i perished in flames. So glad that that unfaithful prostitute living in my heart got exposed by The Word and destroyed.
So yes be careful brother not to follow religious teachings about how to serve God rightly. Rather get to know Jesus in Spirit within your heart, for through the word you will hear Him speak in love for God, you and your neighbour.
It is not about us doing all that stuff for Jesus to be acceptable to The Lord, rather learn to love Jesus eating grace doing it wrong, and let His loving truth divide sheep from goats within you and set you free from the control of the wicked.
Faith in God's love sets us free from sin, not trying to be good for Jesus, that is my experience about this.

The wicked came without invitation.
made an end to good life's celebration.
The wicked devised every deformity.
created all the illnesses that be.
They forced their way as kings.
controlling all heart's things.
Shaping people in their ways.
blackened colours all in greys.
The wicked always speak lies.
Orchestrating truth's demise.
bringing about so much misery.
Hardened hearts committing felony.
They always offend God from within.
They are the cause of so much sin.
They are behind every homicide.
Made many men on rape decide.
Now let God's love shine true.
The Word will give them their due.
Erasing the wicked from our heart.
So we will from sinful ways depart.
