Wow! The Event was so awesome!!!!!!

My Church (Living Word Community Church) Hosted the event.

We are a church in the downtown core of Kitchener Ontario. We reach out to the homeless, drug dealers, pimps, prostitutes, gangs etc. The Lost of The Lost. So many people out there think these people are bad and deserve what they have. But no one knows the reasons why they are at this point in their life. They are from families where their parents abandoned them, broken homes, parents that are alcoholics, abusive, so many different backgrounds. And they need the help of all of us! This is just a start. We have a service on Sunday and after the service we provide a meal for them. So many of these people have come to know Christ! We need to get these people off the streets. Our vision is to start another dream centre as the ones in Calgary, Los Angeles, and Hamilton. We want to get these people involved, we want them to recieve councelling and help. Cd's were made from this 30 hour worship event called Touching the Face of God. They are being sold for $15 each. This money will go towards the funding of a new building, a bigger church, for the one we have now is outgrown. Feel free to help make a change today.

Well to get songs on the cd's we could only get 6 churches because the songs had to be original to be able to be sold. But the songs are really good! I wrote one of them. hehe.

I think that is great that your church is doing that! I wish you guys the best of luck and I pray you stay strong! The fact of the matter is, most homeless people infact do come from rotten lives at home. Being in a gang is a sense of family, and friendship. The view is that they take care of you, they are like your sisters and brothers. Fortunately I moved out of the city early enough not to get into a gang, but if we were there still when I was a teen, I would be going down a totally different road. It is places like your church that can really change their lives. Thank you to your pastor, and yourself and other members of the congregation! God Bless.
