  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I just completed an associate's degree. I didn't have a "major" because the degree is only meant to help me transfer to a four year college. I'll be majoring in philosophy, though.

My major is applied stats. I have started graduate studies in applied stats 2+ years ago, then I deferred my studies due to being too busy with work. 2 months ago, I considered switching to biostatistics. But now I finally decided to continue with applied stats and added marketing as an extra subject to pursue. I know I am not that keen in biostatistics, I'm more interested in things related to the human society. :)

That's interesting, if there's no major, what subject units were involved?

The college has a long list of classes that count toward the degree. Pretty much anything that can be considered "general education" can be taken. I took two anatomy and physiology classes, two chemistry classes, a handful of math courses, two courses in religious studies and philosophy- but most of my courses have been in psychology and Spanish.

Classes that wouldn't count towards the degree would be anything from a vocational program, like welding or plumbing. I couldn't even get the EMT course I took in high school applied towards my degree (even though it was worth six credits to them).

Hello princesstatyanna, that sounds like a good major, could you tell me what does it teach? Is it similar to nursing?

it is similar to nursing but medical assistants operate in clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, etc. nurses are more advanced than medical assistants

That's good, I suppose you'll learn a lot about medicine and caring, you'll be able to help many people.

that is great :)
Yeah, I was going to be a crime photographer and then I felt Him call me to a Christian university after getting a letter in the mail from the school and asking Him if this is where I should go. He gave me a powerful answer of "Yes!" I told Him that I would check it out. He later called me to Youth Ministry and I was stubborn at first. I started talking to people about it and it was the opposite reaction I got to crime photography saying that they would totally see me doing ministry! I originally didn't want to work with kids, but God must have known something about me that I didn't. Now I love kids and I'm a youth leader. Thank You Jesus!
