Personality traits and characteristics on the inside of the person say who they are. They tell people how they feel and what their likes and dislikes are, etc. Are they caring, to they emphathize, are they understanding etc.?

Love has no characteristics - especially physical. Since God is love, and God is Spirit, love has no characteristics. As Christians, we are to put on the characteristics of Christ. By doing this, God will be able to portray the image of Jesus Christ through us. As we gain the characteristics of Christ, which we all are striving to achieve in our lives, and transform them into our personalities, God then shows Jesus' personality and characteristics through us to others - from the inside out. Through Jesus Christ's example, and us being obedient to God, we become beacons for His Living word.

God gives us the ability to let our Light shine from the inside out. And by the guidance and direction revealed to us through the Holy Spirit, brings glory, honour and praise to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

In this way, by submission in obedience to God, and by His grace and mercy, we are able to introduce Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, to others, by sharing and revealing the characteristics of Christ - from the inside out. By doing this, we allow the Holy Spirit and God to work in our lives, and by obeying our Father, we are to work towards the fullfillment of the plan our Father has mapped out for our lives since the beginning of time.

Allowing God to use you in this way will reveal this to others. It will enable the Holy Spirit, God our Father and Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, to work through us, showing all we come in contact with God's Magesty, magnifying the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ for all the world to see.

When you put on the characteristics of Christ, you are not only showing people who you are from the inside out, you are also showing people God's glory. This has a domonos affect, glorifying God through the edification of the church and the whole of Christ. and personality of God our Father.

By showing and sharing God's personality traits to others you are giving the opportunity to non-believers to learn about Jesus and the Person He is. They are given the opportunity to come to know, and accept our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, into their hearts as their personal Lord and Saviour. Their spirit is born, the old self is made new, and they are made a new creation in Christ Jesus. God is knocking at the door of their hearts, patiently and lovingly waiting with outstretched arms, to welcome them into His family.

How about you?

Are you putting on the characteristics of Christ in your life?

Are you acting in obedience to God, and revealing Christs' personality traits to others? Non-Believers?

Do you agree or disagree? What are your feelings on this?

My oldest son was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 3 1/2 years. At that time we lived in a small town with only about 3500 people, including living in the surrounding areas. This incident (including others) happened when my son was around 5 years old.

No one in this town had ever heard of Autism before, not even the teachers at the school my son attended. They were totally unaware of the characteristics and strange behaviour patterns a person with Autism can have. Due to the people's ignorance of the facts, my son, and myself included, (being his mother) were ostracized from the community we lived in.

The people there seemed to be passing judgement on outward appearances towards a small 5 year old boy, who couldn't tell the difference between whether they were laughing at him, or with him. It was the former they chose.

Choosing to circle around him, pointing, laughing and ridiculing what he was doing instead of reaching out and helping, or coming to the parents with what was happening, is not only ignorant from the children's behaviour, but also the parents of those involved. They needed to be taught by their parents to respect all people, and not pass judgement on someone just because they are different from themselves. These children also needed to be taught to accept a person from the inside out, not the outside only.

As Christians we are to strive towards putting on the characteristics of Christ..........full stop!

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Eph 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth).

God gives us the ability to let our Light shine from the inside out. And with the guidance and direction revealed to us by the Holy Spirit, brings glory, honour and praise to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We are commanded by our Father, who is love, to love one another unconditionally.

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

We are to show love, kindness and patients towards one another.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Had any of these people been Christians, I would expect they would have followed God's word to the letter. Unfortunately, they were not, and their ignorance showed through, however inexcusable it may have been.

God gives us the ability to let our Light shine from the inside out. and with the guidance and direction revealed to us by the Holy Spirit, brings glory, honour and praise to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

By submission in obedience to God, and by His grace and mercy, we are able to introduce Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, to others, by sharing and revealing the characteristics of Christ, from the inside out. By doing this, we allow the Holy Spirit and God to work in our lives, and in obedience to Him, we are to work towards fulfilling the plan our Father has mapped out for our lives since the beginning of time.

Portraying this to others will enable the Holy Spirit, God our Father and Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, to work through us, so that all can see the glory, magesty, characteristics and personality of God our Father. This, in turn, gives opportunity to others, to come to know, and welcome Jesus Christ into their hearts, accepting Him as their personal Lord and Saviour.

I'd like to encourage all of you to continue on your life's journeys, in building up the full characteristics of Christ within yourselves, and illuminate this to all who you come in contact with. As Christians, it is our responsibilty to set the example for non-Christians to see. In this way, they will see a better way of respecting and treating others through us. This is only a beginning, but it has to start somewhere. We can then live with the hope that our example to others will wear off, and the ostricizing, ill treatment, ignorance and cruelty of others will be eliminated. (or at least lessened considerably)

My son is now 26 years old and living in a group home, with a roommate whom he has been living with for the past few years. This home is staffed by some very caring people, through an agency in Canada. They all love him, and most every one he meets says only good comments about him. The Lord has truly blessed his life.

All the glory and honour goes to God our Father, our Brother and Redeemer, our Risen Lord, Jesus Christ, and the Great Comforter, who floods all those who ask with an insurmountable abundance of peace, beyond our understanding.

May God's blessing be poured out abundantly in your life as you continue down His chosen path for your life.
