I dont know how their making the myrs indestructable. I know there is an artifact that can do that, but got a pretty high casting cost. I'd like to run my deck against it, i dont think i'd have too much of a problem once i saw what the major cards were. Myrs by themselve dont do anything. stop whatever makes them indestructable. then pyrcoclams all the mana myrs. but who knows. i dont think myrs would fend too well against regular ravager affinity, seems too slow, and they can drop a big ornithompter faster than myrs could drop a broodstar. at least thats what it seems to me, i could be wrong.

copper myr tap: add one G too your mana pool and they have that for every colour.

stuff like that makes it a good speed, not too fast, but they can take hits if they make it white, or have blue, or...green. black is the only one that doesn't work out very well. but blue/green or blue/white works pretty well.

I am planing on making one of these decks, it seems pretty fun, and they are tourney worthy.

Whew! I feel like I've been buying and buying and buying boosters, and I still don't have that many 4X sets of the same card. This stuff is expensive! I wish there was a real cardshop here instead of just Wal*Mart. Oh well, I'd rather pay $3.80 for a booster with two or three good cards than pay $5-$20 for one of the same... takes longer, but it's still fun, collecting, that is.

Well, after you add the shipping, doesn't it cost almost the same? Besides, I get a 10% discount on stuff I buy from Wal*Mart. This is how it works:
Wal*Mart sells their boosters for $3.87. Now that's 18 cents above the post- January 15th cost increase. But, I get 10% off, so I only pay about $3.49, which is 20 cents below the cost increase. But that's still expensive, lol. Although other CCG boosters are still more expensive, card-for-card.

there prolly is a place where you could get cards, but there almost always hard to find. check out comic stores, and ask them there. they should know where to look.

If you are interested in collecting, and only play casually, then packs are the way to go, although if you buy a lot of packs, you may as well just buy a box, you save even more, although id ont know if you can buy by the box at wal-mart. If you want to be able to seriously build a deck, its a lot easier to just order the singles. If you are looking for one specifica card *and you want 4 of it* you'll spend a lot more on packs trying to aqcuire the set. Its a double edged sword. more cards versus getting what you want quickly. I'm torn about it myself. i split down the middle usually, though i have my limits. I'd love a set of 4 arcbound ravagers but i wont pay that much for them. (ten bucks a piece, tops)

or if you have the money. pick up a box. take what you need, then trade off what you dont.

...and i want RAVAGERS!!!!!!! :RAAARR: lol but there far too pricy. they seem to be for the people with 4 shiney ones, 4 shiny crome mox's ...well, shiney everything deck. ...so yea, for the psyco's.

hmm, how do you feel about going all goblins? ...just wondering...

If your using red, i would suggest going goblin/direct damage. but if you want help on this deck, i would suggest going to www.pojo.com and going to there message boards, and check out the MTG deck disscussion and help section. they have a few experianced players that could give you a hand on this, if you want to post your deck there.

I'm currently perfecting my Blue/Artifact deck. Tinker + Darksteel Colossus. Muahah.

I'm going to start a Myr deck next. But a couple people are right, this game is expensive! Anyone know a good website where I can buy MTG box cheap?

In my area, the Mirrodin/Darksteel prices range from $3 a pack to nearly $4 a pack.

Unless I'm missing something, there's absolutly no reason for having Great Furnaces in that deck. Take them out and replace them with mountains. In fact, you might want to up the land count by a few lands as well. 4X Uncontrolled Infestation isn't that good of idea either. Do you have any Molten Rain (I think that's it, you know the red Mirrodin land destruction card)? They would help you out a lot more.

lets not complain about the price increase, it stayed at 3.33 for a longggggg time without succumbing to inflation, and extra 50 cents shouldnt break the bank.

Well, it's about a 25% price from $3 to $4. Over time, it adds up. That's why I'm going to switch from buying individual packs to boxes.

Does anyone know a website where I can buy MTG boxes/singles (relatively) cheaply?

Haha... I told you I was no good. It was just a stab in the dark. I don't have anyone that plays here, so I'm really on my own. It's still fun to try though.

askbros-- i keep hearing about redemption, but i have *never* seen it any hobby store, and i'm a hobby store junky. maybe its just not around on the east coast. anyway, no need to replace a game i've already spent who knows how much money on, (CCGs are cardboard crack donchaknow)

Don't feel bad about it. I'm just giving you some advice. Trust me, when I started playing magic my decks were far worse than that.
