My friend Madej fasts... He went from 421lbs to 134 lbs.. I dont think this is healthy. Is there anything I can do to help him? He did this in a little over 4 months.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

wow kinda cool. but he better do it for a reason not just lose the weight. he dosent need to over do it tho thats not good. take him out to eat..

100 lbs a month! didn't even know that was possible. Was he following God's will, or was this just to loose weight? If he has starved himself to loose weight, I'm gonna bet that the weight will be back pretty soon.

fasting is a very lousy and unhealthy way to loose weight....it all come back once you eat....and besided if you fast often your body stores everything....it is like it starts saying this may be my last meal, I better keep it......I have known people who fast often and start to gain weight cause their body keeps everything they eat.....
