Yes!! A Madea thread!! I've seen both of the movies- Diary and Reunion. I had never heard of Tyler Perry before, and all the trailers for Reunion looked very much like trash. So when my parents brought it home, I was skeptical. My family is currently in the process of adopting three biracial young children who have had to deal with alot of the trash that was prevalent in the movie. I was amazed to see so many Christian themes so prevalent. I've never seen any of the plays... however I did see more of the DVDs at the store recently. Diary I was not as impressed with, the Christian themes didn't seem so prevalent. I don't know... they were there, but I just preferred the other. How about Cicely Tyson's monologue??

My family uses Netflix an online video rental. You can get different priced plans with them. They have most of Tyler Perry's movies/plays. I would encourage you to get the plays and watch them. :) Also the *extra* behind the scenes that goes along with the plays are awesome to watch. He explains how and why he writes and also how it has effected people & other things.
The only thing I don't care for in his movies & plays is using curse words but I know he's trying to reach a bigger audience with his stuff & not everyone has a problem with it.
You prolly can do an online search for all the titles he's written. :)
