I have floated in and out of the top 100 in Mens Adventure for my new book
Task Force Intrepid: The Gold of Katanga by D.R. Tharp
Although its not a 'christian novel' it does involve the kidnapping of missionaries and one of the men struggling in his faith in the midst of hell on earth.
I intend in my Series to have christians represented in a positive light though the world around and the subject material is pretty violent and dark. I have a manuscript that I will be releasing sometime this year about WW2 and a conscientious objector who becomes a medic and it is heavily christian and a very gritty war novel. It doesn't fit within CBA guidlines and would be deemed too religious for secular publishers.
I've just decided to not fool around with 'fitting' in and write what is in my heart and give men a reason to read again books with spiritual content. My books will be gritty to the core. Amazon has made it possible for anyone with a voice to write an publish. The market gets to decide what is good and what is junk. Not the CBA. Cheers to everyone trying their hearts out to write and complete their books ! D.R.
