In Luke 21, Jesus states
Christ prophecies of the coming Roman siege of Jerusalem that resulted in the total destruction and ruin of the Temple and the vast majority of the city. Well over a million people were slaughtered by the Roman legions. However, in verse 24, Jesus limits the time span during which these things would be occurring, saying
Therefore, the Times of the Gentiles of which Jesus is speaking are those years that Rome was making the Jewish nation 'fall by the edge of the sword', 'leading them away into captivity' and 'treading down Jerusalem'. These 'Times' (time, times, and half a time, to be specific) are long since fulfilled. And it is certain that they are fulfilled for Christ states that the Times of the Gentiles would be those Times during which the things he just described were occurring, and they are long since past. And so there are no more 'times of the Gentiles' to come upon Jerusalem. They are done and have been fulfilled.
For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great tribulation in the land, and wrath upon this people. - vv 22-23
