• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I don't think that any form of Christian apologetics will help raven. I think the core of your problem is OCD, in which case, reading Christian apologetics and trying to prove everything is your compulsion. The more you perform your compulsion, the more you will have obsessions. A hard thing to accept, but true.

Raven, if you've accepted Christ, then you have not been chosen for hell. You're OCD is just really tricking you into thinking so. The more seriously you take something, the more your OCD will make you think that you're doing something horribly wrong in that area.

It seems very real, but you're feelings are greatly tainting your logic. Right now, your predominant emotion is fear. You're jumping to worst-case-scenario conclusions.

You should really try to find a way to get yourself to relax. Exercise helps, as does any generic stress-relief activity. It seems silly that something like that would work, but trust me, it does. I started running and my OCD got a bit better. You just need to give your mind a break every once in awhile. Take it easy! :)

Your right it is useless nothing seems to take away the doubt. It is getting worse and worse and I don't know what else to do. I guess I am one of those chosen for hell.

Raven look at these three verses carefully:

He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
(John 3:18)

This verse says that there are two kinds of people in the world: those who have believed and those who have not. You Raven are obviously in the camp that believes so you are not condemned, no matter what, Jesus says your not condemned.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:17)

The will of God is not to condemn the world but to save it through Jesus, this verse promises that Jesus came to save you and not to condemn you.

All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. (John 6:37)

You have an everlasting promise in Christ: He will never drive you away, He will never forsake you.

I say this in love, SoS.
