Okay - so I'm probably over-reacting like my husband says. But I had my ultrasound yesterday. I'm 22 weeks - and we found out that our baby is a boy!
We're excited because that's what we secretly wanted. But, the placenta is lying too close to my cervix. My doctor is out of town - so they can't diagnose placenta previa until the dr looks at the report. But, the nurse told me it probably was placenta previa because it is lying too close, so that I need to stay off my feet as much as I can, no lifting (which is going to be tough with a toddler), keep my stress level low, and no sex. And they did say this is common -- and that it can correct itself, and I'll have another ultrasound in a month or so. So, if it's so common - then why am I freaking out about it and scared? If anyone has this or has dealt with this - can you post some encouragement? I need to know if how I'm feeling is normal and any encouragement of how it can correct itself. They did check everything, and my precious baby boy is fine -- everything looked perfect to the tech, except for that... But any encouragement would be SO welcome. Thanks!
