When we love like Jesus loves,
Unselfishly, by faith in Him,
Follow Him where’re He leads,
He will provide the strength within.
It’s not easy, Christian life,
For Satan battles us, in strife;
Hopes to win the victory,
So that, in Christ, we’ll not be free.
As we progress in walks of faith,
And we obey our Lord’s commands,
We follow Him in word and truth,
And we submit to His demands.
We share the gospel, lives to save,
So they’ll respond to Christ today,
Die with Him now to all their sins,
And let the Spirit live within.
But Satan hates that, hates it well,
For he wants us to end in hell.
So he devises altered truth
In hopes we’ll live lives now uncouth.
He wants us still trapped in our sins,
Listening now to only him,
Doing what he tempts us to,
Not doing what God has for you.
So we must clear our minds of this:
Worldly pleasures – Satan’s gifts.
Renew our minds with God’s pure Word,
Not listen to the lies we’ve heard.
Follow Jesus every day,
Read His Word, bow down, and pray,
Give our all to Him, obey,
Live for Him in every way.
