• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Despised And Rejected
tear2.gif

This is a symbolic picture of the Resurrected Jesus unwanted and unloved by so many. Storm clouds, rain and the dismal backdrop represent hard hearts. Jesus has found refuge from the cold and rain under an old abanoned arch. He crouches against the wall shivering, His eyes full of tears, dismayed that countless doors have been shut in His face. But very soon, He will continue His journey seeking out the lost and bringing His salvation.

Will I love Him Who today is still despised and rejected?

When I showed the original painting to a friend of mine she related a story of how she had listened to a tape of a priest who had gone to Israel and had seen the place where Jesus was held in prision over night before He was judged before Pilate. The priest could hardly talk about his experience and started praying before he could continue. He said this "holding place" for Jesus was a just a hole in the ground about three feet deep and Jesus would have to squat in there until morning. Right then and there I thought of my new painting and broke down and cried.

I can't imagine how He must have felt!
