Lost, 24-style

This was mentioned in the articles Dora posted this morning over in the Lost Ending thread, but I almost breezed right by it until I read another story from press tours:

Next season, Lost will be airing 22 consecutive episodes in a row, 24-style. Start to finish, no break, no repeats, no "winter hiatus" frustration.

Unfortunately, this also means it probably won't begin airing Season 4 until January 2008.

I'm not sure I mind, though. I don't even consider what we saw last fall as part of Season 3. To me, Season 3 begins February 7. Those 6 shows were just teasers. So what they're doing next year isn't all that different in my mind.

I do hate to have to wait so long, but as long as I've got this forum (and maybe an extended summer-fall Lost Experience online?) I'll survive.

What do y'all think of the change?

I enjoy the way Fox presents 24 as opposed to the way ABC has presented Lost in the past. I enjoy Lost and 24 and am a faithful viewer. Getting ready to watch the second 2hr episode to 24 in a few minutes.

I'm all for 22 epi's in a row. We wait how long for 24 to come back on and it's not bad. There are alot of chat's, forums and sites to go to, to get our Lost fix during the summer and fall months. Plus, we do have each other.

I would much rather prefer 22 consecutive episodes then this teaser crud that we had to go through this year.

Next year's schedule should be great.

For those who don't watch 24, this year they did a 4-hour premiere, 2 hours Sunday night and 2 hours Monday night. It was FANTASTIC, partly because they did a really good job of putting the perfect amount in those four hours to start the season.

If Lost did something similar (maybe a 2 hour premiere) it would be great.

Well I the break is killing me right now so I am happy.

I have just discovered Prison Break so thats just about keeping me going through the Lost break.

The wait will be horrible but of course when it starts everyone will be ecstatic. So, I guess it depends on what time you ask this question!
