Psalm 27:14 Wait for the LORD ; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
Lord Move, or Move Me
by Jeromy Diebler
I can't find the words to pray
I'm a little down today
Can You help me?
Can You hold me?
I feel a million miles away
And I don't know what to say
Can You hear me...anyway?
What I need
Is for You to reach out Your hand
You have taught me
No matter what You'd understand
Chorus:
Lord move in a way
That I've never seen before
'Cause there's a mountain in the way
And a lock on the door
I'm drifting away
Waves are crashing on the shore
So Lord move...move, or move me
-----
Have you ever felt like this? Surrounded by a storm, it closing in on you? I was feeling this way this morning. Then I heard the above song. It reminded me that Jesus doesn't always stop the storm by His command "Peace Be Still" (Mark 4:39). Sometimes He commands us to "Be Still and KNOW" (Psalm 46:10) in the midst of the storm. He is the calm IN the storm. He won't leave us or foresake us in the storm. How do you "Be Still and KNOW" when surrounded by a storm? This song reminded me that I need to surrender to the Lord and then wait for Him to move. For me, singing praise to the Lord is how I do this - not always easy in the midst of a storm - it may be the last thing you feel like doing. I did just that this morning and found my calm in the midst of my storm.
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Psalm 27:14 Wait for the LORD ; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
Thank You Lord that You are our peace and strength in any storm. Help each of us to surrender and wait patiently for You to move. Thank You that as we do this each will have Your calm, Your peace, as we wait for You to move. In the name of Jesus Christ.
