Lord, I Apologize For Our Sins

This is something I would like to share because I believe that it applies to every single person/christian in this forum. I do hope that it does cause you to think differently about how you treat other people and your Christian walk or atleast question your performance as an christian.




LORD...,

THE SINS THAT I AM APOLOGIZING FOR ARE NOT JUST MY SINS, BUT THE SINS OF EVERYONE , BUT INPARTICULAR THOSE WHO CLAIM TO BE CHRISTIAN BUT IGNORE OR DON'T RECONIZE THEIR OWN SINFULLNESS. FOR EVERYTIME WE SAW SOMEONE IN NEED OF HELP OR A TEAR FILLED EYE, AND WE DON'T HELP THEM, BECAUSE WE WERE BEING JUDGEMENTAL INSTEAD OF HELPFUL, I APOLOGIZE. FOR EVERYTIME WE SAW THAT PERSON , THAT FOR WHATEVER REASON WE DIDN'T LIKE , IN A WEAK AND VULNERABLE PLACE AND JUST LAUGHED,SNICKERED,MUTTERED UNDER OUR BREATHS, OR SAID THEY DESERVED IT, I APOLOGIZE. FOR EVERYTIME WE ARE SHALLOW AND DISCRIMINATE AGAINST SOMEONE , JUST BECAUSE THEY DON'T LOOK LIKE US, AREN'T BEAUTIFUL/ATTRACTIVE ENOUGH, OR HAVE A DIFFERENT SKIN COLOR, I APOLOGIZE. FOR EVERYTIME PEOPLE WILL GO TO WAR, FIGHT OR BRING UPON SOME KIND OF DESTRUCTION OR WORLD CONFLICT, I APOLOGIZE. MOST OF ALL FOR US HIDING BEHIND THE EXCUSE OF BEING HUMAN , SO ITS OKAY EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE TO CURSE AT HIN/HER, OR TO FIGHT, TO BE UNCHRISTIAN,AND FOR EVERYTIME WE SAY " WELL IT'S OKAY , I WON'T DO IT AGAIN" WITH FALSE PROMISES , I APOLOGIZE.

I think you misunderstood the intent of my thread. Yes it is in form of a prayer and I guess you could pray it as such. But it is in the form of a pray so that noone feels like they are being attacked or critized. The point of the thread is to cause so called christians or people who like to boast about being a christian and examine their own behavior and see if the are truely being Christianly.

I know I kind of like the last line, because I met a christian who was very much like that. He did certain things that where not that christianly( nothing too bad , but none the less , not Christianly) and when I made suggestions about certain things , his excuse was , " I'm only human," and then I asked him " does that mean we shouldn't try to improve your behavior, since you claim to be christian" of course he didn't answer.
