  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My family is discussing maybe looking at teachers who are on the radio or t.v.
I am a little skeptical about some of them but I do have my favorites.
J. Vernon Mcgee
Alistair Begg
"He chose you" T.V. show.
Funny that I don't lean Calvanist but I do like "He chose you". It is very good about teaching some of the ppl in history that has influenced Christianity.
Do ya'll use anyone's teaching (not as a whole but just something that the group looks at) and if you do, who do ya'll like.

I have little confidence in most of what I hear on the internet. Charisma fools many people into following the voices. I recommend good sound ministry by Bible scholars down thru history. Visit www.bibletruthpublishers.com for good literature and studies.

The best way to find a church is to pray and seek the guidance of the Holy Ghost.
You have to watch out for most tv preachers as you don't know what they are like when the camera isn't rolling. Many are just in it for the money.
Another area of concern are those who have ties to denominations and doctrines of man.
The Spirit of God that will rightly divide the word of truth will lead you to an anointed man of God if such is the Lord's will.
The biggest problem with Christianity today is that people do not understand the Lord has a Kingdom.
It is not a democracy nor a republic.
There is no voting for leaders in his Kingdom. He chooses whom he will.
It is a Kingdom and he has all say.
As in Malachi 1:8 where the Lord says offer a blind, lame or sick offering to your governor and see if he will be pleased or accept you.
People need to understand that the multitudes that John saw were from many generations. We live in a different time than in Acts where thousands were saved.
The Lord said when that day comes (his day) it will be as Noah and as Lot. It will be as Sodom and there shall be a great falling away first.
Too many people are not laying to heart the warning of the Lord.
He isn't one to waste his breathe and he will allow people to believe a lie if they want and damn themselves.
Please be careful in you choosing of a church.
The eternal soul of you and your family is at stake and forever is too long to be wrong.
May God bless.

Ok, first I'm not "looking" for a church. I believe that the Church is not a place, but a people. And yes, I know there are alot of false prophets who can easily misguide a person. A mature christian should be able to discern. A christian can learn from a teacher. I have no problem listening to someone's interpretation of scripture. Sometimes this can shed light on a subject. There may be a way of looking at scripture that I may not have seen before.
So all I am asking is, if you do listen to preachers/teachers, who do you listen to?
